Associates Meets second Wednesday of each month at 9 a.m.
This committee is made up of members who wish to help project FABA’s image. The committee plans and organizes several special meetings and social events and works closely with other committees. The committee is chaired by the Associate Vice President.
Fall Festival Meets as needed
This committee plans and organizes the R. Lee Simmons Annual Fall Festival (formerly Crab Feast), working closely with the Associates Committee.
FAB Foundation– Road Rally/Poker Run Meets as needed. All proceeds from the work of this committee benefit the FABF Housing Repair Assistance Program.
Legislative Meets third Thursday of each month at 9 a.m.
This committee stays abreast of local issues that affect the building industry. Members research proposed ordinances and work with local governments to try to bring about change that is satisfactory to members and government.
MAME Awards Planning/Parade of Homes Meets second Tuesday of each month at 3 p.m.
This committee plans and organizes FABA's annual Major Achievement in Marketing Excellence (MAME) Awards and annual Parade of Homes and Awards Gala. For 2008 only these committees have been combined.
Membership Meets second Tuesday of each month as 9 a.m.
The Membership Committee is responsible for coordinating membership recruitment and developing programs to help maintain the existing membership. Emphasis is placed on retention of members through various means such as Spike Club, new member orientations, etc.
President's Ball Meets as needed
This committee plans and organizes the annual President's Ball. Installation of newly elected officers and presentation of the prestigious Builder of the Year and Associate of the Year awards take place at this event.
NAHB Remodelers Meets fourth Wednesday of each month at 9 a.m.
Affiliated with the NAHB Remodelors Council, this is a dues-paying group. Formed to addresses the needs and concerns of the remodeling industry, this council is also intended to help with the educational requirements of Remodelors. Click here for an application.
Seminar – Breakfast of Champions Meets as needed This committee plans the monthly Breakfast of Champions seminars on a variety of topics of interest to FABA members.
SMC The Board of Directors meets third Tuesday of every other month at 3 p.m.
Affiliated with the NAHB Sales and Marketing Council, this is a dues-paying group. The Council's primary responsibility is the education of sales personnel through seminars and classes. The Council also holds special events that are free to members and provide an opportunity to network with other sales associates. The activities of the local council are coordinated by members of the Board of Directors who are elected at the SMC Annual Meeting in December each year. Click here for an application.
