PAUSE FOR JOB SITE SAFETY EDUCATION – Thursday, April 16
As you know, the health and safety of workers on home building job sites is a top priority for FABA, HBAV, and NAHB. NAHB requests all residential construction companies to briefly pause all work on home building sites on Thursday, April 16, to educate workers on how to stop the spread of COVID-19.
All workers on home building sites MUST follow these three simple recommendations from health officials to help stop the spread of the coronavirus:
- Maintain a distance of at least six feet away from other workers AT ALL TIMES
- Wash Your Hands Frequently (soap and water for 20 seconds) or Use Hand Sanitizer (alcohol-based containing at least 60% alcohol)
- Disinfect all Surfaces and Equipment Frequently that are shared or touched by multiple workers (including tools, handrails, door handles, etc)
Instructions on how to teach this information in person on your job site (or provide it digitally by email or text to all workers and employees) can be found here in: English and Spanish
NAHB asks that all builders participate in this safety education effort. Please share photos of your participation on your social media pages and use the hashtag #COVID19SafetyStandDown
