TAKE 10 MINUTES TO EDUCATE EVERYONE ON SITE ABOUT COVID-19 SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
As you know, the health and safety of workers on home building job sites is a top priority for FABA, HBAV, and NAHB. We are asking all residential construction to briefly pause all work on home building sites (for about 10 minutes), to educate workers on how to stop the spread of COVID-19. Please provide the following information.
All workers on home building sites MUST follow these three simple recommendations from health officials to help stop the spread of the coronavirus:
- Maintain a distance of at least six feet away from other workers AT ALL TIMES
- Wash Your Hands Frequently (soap and water for 20 seconds) or Use Hand Sanitizer (alcohol-based containing at least 60% alcohol)
- Disinfect all Surfaces and Equipment Frequently that are shared or touched by multiple workers (including tools, handrails, door handles, etc)
Instructions on how to teach this information in person on your job site can be found here in: English and Spanish. Or, if you are unable to do this in person, please provide the information digitally – by email or text – to all workers and employees at some time during the work day tomorrow.
We are asking that all builders participate in this safety education effort.
And you all know how much Maria loves photos, so if you could PLEASE snap a picture and share your photos with us, we would like to put together a slide show on social media showing all of our wonderfully compliant builders.
You can also post your photos on your social media pages and use the hashtag #COVID19SafetyStandDown
